Prominent started its partnership in 1995, with six family-owned businesses. Today, this number has increased to 27 tomato growers. Over the years, valuable knowledge been passed on to several generations. What is more, our growers started sharing their expertise and experience so they can keep growing high quality, healthy vine tomatoes. Together, they invested in their own packaging centre, innovation centre and growing location.

We highly value strong bonds. Not just between our partners, but with every person involved in our chain, from tomato seedling to selling. The key to developing lasting relationships is clear communication and reliability. We stick to our promises, it’s as simple as that. Our efficient growing methods allow us to accurately meet the needs of our buyers and consumers.

Nature, Nurture and Nutrition

Our down to earth way of working is – quite literally – reflected in our sustainable growing methods. We just use water, nutrients, light, warmth and a little help from our bumble bees and insects. This perfect balance between nature and nurture allows us to produce perfect vine tomatoes to use in any type of dish. Each tomato has its own characteristics, so we can provide varieties which become velvety smooth in a sauce for example, or varieties to simply enjoy as a snack. To this day, our tomatoes still form the inspiration of our daily work.
