ITALIAN BRUSCHETTA

These are the ingredients you need

½ ciabatta - 3 large vine tomatoes - 2 cloves of garlic - 5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil - 5 g fresh basil - salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut the ciabatta into 1.5 cm thick slices and drizzle the bread with olive oil. Finely chop the garlic and divide between the ciabatta slices. Put the bread in an oven dish and bake in the oven until crispy and golden brown. Check regularly to make sure the bread does not burn. In the meantime, halve the tomatoes and remove the seeds and membranes. Cut the tomatoes into 1 cm cubes. Finely chop the basil and mix with the tomatoes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Leave the bread slices to cool. Divide the tomato mix between the bread slices and top with fresh basil.

Variations

You can cook the garlic in the oven, but it is also nice to mix the garlic with the tomato mixture.
